Temperatures have been in the 40s the last two nights but changes are on the way. By Wednesday afternoon most areas in Eastern North Carolina should reach into the upper 70s with plenty of sunshine. A weak cold front will approach and move through the area on Friday bringing the risk of showers and thunderstorms. Seasonable temperatures should continue over the weekend as the sunshine returns.
