LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) -- Meteorologists are planning an aerial
survey of the destruction caused by at least 10 tornadoes in
Arkansas late last week.
Friday's tornadoes killed seven people, damaged or destroyed
about 400 homes and knocked out electrical and telephone service in
nearly 20 counties.
Ten tornadoes have been confirmed, up from an earlier count of
eight.
Meteorologists say one twister may have traveled 45 miles.
Last week's severe weather followed tornadoes that killed 13
people in Arkansas in February. Then came a foot of snow and
flooding that killed at least five more.
