RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -- Sen. Elizabeth Dole admits her campaign to seek a second term in the Senate won't be an easy one.

In a blog posting on her new campaign Web site launched Friday, the Republican incumbent wrote that "modern campaigns have become a contact sport."

Dole anticipates she'll be the subject of personal attacks and votes or issues that are taken out of context. But she said she'll defend her record in the months ahead.

Dole doesn't mention Democratic opponent, state Sen. Kay Hagan, by name.

The Web site also includes a short video in which Dole and her husband, former senator and presidential candidate Bob Dole, discuss how they first met in the 1970s while in Washington.

Unfortunately,Sen. Dole really has lost touch with her constituency...but of course, she really does not live here either so that is not surprising....I intend to vote for someone who lives in North Carolina and is aware of our local problems, particularly with illegals....we need to have a Senator who cares about the ongoing problems we have in this state with illegals taking all of our hard-earned benefits and collecting freebies from the system....Vote Kay Hagen

voteing no on moderizeing our air control system is just another example of looking out for spending Billions in other countries and not gining a crap about our country and it's problems.Go ahead give 100,s of billions to other countries come November that will be a thing of the past.
