There's a family reunion, of sorts, in the Craven County jail. That after a mother and her son were busted on drug charges Wednesday.

New Bern police say acting on a complaint, when they got to the home on Waters Street they smelled marijuana coming from behind the house and saw a man who looked like he was packaging marijuana.

Officers say the man ran into the house, and after a brief struggle they arrested Jarvis Bryant. After a search warrant, police say they recovered three pounds of pot, crack cocaine, ecstasy pills and large sums of cash.

The 27-year-old Bryant and his 47-year-old mother, Sheral, are charged with multiple drug charges including trafficking cocaine, and possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver marijuana.

Both mother and son are in the same jail, each on a $1,000,000 bond.

To Me: They were supporting themselves and probably selling to your family and friends. The main people who are so against drugs are the main people using or affiliated with them. The best customers are in the suburbs and especially in gated community. And once it reaches there...Then and only then it becomes a problem!!!
