more than 70 arrest and the majority were for loud music violations. Are they serious? Thats nothing for a police department to brag about. And they wonder why the courts are so over crowded. They should focus on actual criminals rather than loud music.

My noise ticket was in a parking lot with parked cars so there was no distracting anyone that was driving. Plus my music was playing at a moderate level and I was not playing anything vulgar. I did not deserve a ticket. Plain and simple.

Rock on RMPD!!! Perhaps you can teach greenville PD a lesson or two.

Alot of times a loud music citation is just a reason to stop someone. Who knows what else they will find on one of these stops. It's just dumb to give a cop a reason to begin with. Good job RMPD!

To Devil Dog: They gonna tell me to put down that double cheeseburger too? They arent doing me a favor I promise you. I was in a parking lot with other parked cars. How am I distracting other drivers? Trust me, the cops were just being pains in the butt just because they didnt like the music I was playing. If I was playing some Conway Twittie, they probably would have left me alone. Cops do abuse their right to use their authority. This is a perfect example of it.

To DK...The cops are doing you a favor with a citation for loud music. It is saving your hearing, which will reduce medical costs, and saving other driver's lives by not being distracted. You call it music and other people call it garbage. Think about other people because a vehicle is nothing more than a projectile on wheels.

I got a loud music ticket once. They said if they could hear the music 50 feet outside of my car then it was a violation. It was my factory stereo too. What a bunch of bull. I could hear the same cops talking 50 feet away from my car. Its just a way for the city to shake down people out of their money.

Don't get to happy alot of those so called "arrest" are just loud music citations. Since citations can be counted as arrest. Something sounds a lil fishy about it. Maybe somebody is trying to get little more funding?!

It's nice to see they are getting drugs, guns, and other major stuff off the street but what is with the 30 or so loud music arrests? Is that such a problem or have they gotten major crime down that much? If so they need to show Greenville how they did it!!
