A suspect who stole two guns from two Washington County Sheriff's Office patrol cars, and then shot at Plymouth Police, injuring one officer, entered a guilty plea Monday in federal court.

The incident happened in June of 2006. Daryl Steven Carr, 32 years-old of Plymouth, was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon. Authorities say he broke into the cars and stole a 12 gauge shotgun and a semi-automatic rifle. Police say he then shot one officer in the arm.

Carr faces up to ten years in prison.

To Josh, unless he is CHARGED with shooting an officer he does Not get time for that and furthermore, they, the (Officers) had No Proof that it was Him! They just interigated him for 14 hours to make him take the Plea. So before you judge people, Do your Homework. To Mike you are absolutley right, except one thing, thoes that are giving a long prison term and forced to plea guilty are always African American Males. The system is very unfair, and hopefully a positive change will take place soon for all of us.

disappointed in the justice system? Read between the lines. This is Federal Court. Federal sentences are not cut for constructive time or good behavior. If he had been chatged in state court he wouldn't serve over a year or two. He pleaded guilty, not FOUND guilty in a trial. That indicates pleading to lesser charges. It's all a game that makes the prosecutors look better for higher conviction rates. A plea counts as a conviction. That gets prosecutors appointed and elected.

ten years, are you kidding me, he tried to kill someone with stolen guns from a police car. Im disappointed in the justice system, this guy should get no less than life behind bars.
