The body of a local solider killed in Iraq, is back home. The 28 year old from Greenville will be laid to rest this Saturday with honors.
His wife, children and close friends, made the trip from Virginia Thursday to see their hero home.
An American flag draped the coffin of Staff Sergeant Juantrea Bradley. His remains arrived at the Greenville airport at 5:30P.M. Military officials saluted him one more time, while his wife literally fell across his coffin and cried.
Bradley died March 12th when his vehicle was hit by indirect fire. He was stationed at Fort Eustis, Virginia and assigned to the 7th Special Troops Battalion, 7th Sustainment Brigade . He was a highly decorated solider with awards and medals, including the purple heart. Bradley leaves behind his wife, Ava and four children.
A memorial service for Bradley and another fellow solider from Fort Eustis, who died in the same blast, was held yesterday in Virginia. On Saturday, Bradley will make it to his final resting place.
A funeral is schedule for noon on Saturday at Ayden's Recreation Center.
