Working moms and dads are paying more and more for their family's health insurance.

An analysis of government data from the University of Minnesota finds adults who get health insurance through their jobs have seen their premiums increase 10 times faster than their incomes.

The data are from 2001 through 2005. Across the nation, the amount employees paid for family coverage rose 30%, while their paychecks increased just 3%, on average.

Fewer Americans actually have private health insurance coverage, that number fell 6% during the study period.
