I see people fishing from the HWY 17 bridge in Washington, what are they catching?

I would love to spend the day on one of those house boats. I would close my eyes and feel the sun on my face. I've fallen in love (with the waterfront)again.

Some of you remote camera fans might like to see the brand new bald eagle in its nest in Norfolk Botanical Garden!! Try WWW. WVEC.com, eagle cam

Do you river viewers realize the reputed World's Best Hotdogs are prepared within "spitting distance" of this camera location. (People who patronize "Dick's Hotdogs" in Wilson may dispute this.) however

It is really great to be able to look at Little Washington. When I lived in Eastern NC this was one of my favorite places to get away to.

Web cams are great. It would be awesome if the webcam could be a live streaming webcam that we could view from home on our computer.

Sarah, you're right. Washington does seem like a nice town. Thanks.

Right on, Sarah!! (Maybe it should be, "Write 0n, Sarah!") It's really surprising how some people get all out of joint over absolutely NOTHING.

Joseph maybe you should look at more than a couple of comments if your trying to find out what a community is like.

The white van doesn't bother me in the least...it's those ugly unpainted pilings under the bridge that really turn me off!!! Must have been installed by disgruntled mid-atlantic Yankees!!

"It speaks volumes of a community when a simple observation about a van is so threatening that it provokes that kind of a hostile response. And "Roger That?" What's that all about? Does everyone down there talk like that? Thanks for that revealing glimpse of life in Washington." No Problem. I hope everything is just "peachy" in Maryland.

Washington is on our short list of a place to live and so, for us, having the camera is a good thing. But the waterfront would look much better if that white van didn't park there all the time.
