Kudos to David Garrard for sticking it out in Jacksonville! I'll have to be honest, four years ago when Garrard's first contract with the Jags was set to expire I thought he was crazy for signing an additional four years with a team that basically pushed him aside. The Jags drafted Byron Leftwich in the first round, paid him a huge contract and were forced to ride Leftwich through thick and thin even though the better quarterback was usually sitting on the bench.

Unlike me, Garrard believed he would eventually take over the reigns of the Jags and show the entire league he is worthy of being a starting quarterback. He was right! Leftwich was shipped out... Garrard took over... Had a great 2007 season and now he's worth 60 Million Dollars!

Congratulations David. It couldn't have happened to a better person.
