Countdown To Decision 2008

This is certainly an interesting time for politics in America.  Candidates for president in both political parties are sprinting towards the upcoming caucuses and primaries, which are earlier than ever before.  The issues being debated run the gamut, from homeland security to whether people who aren't U.S. citizens should be able to get a drivers license.  Is there an issue that's a "deal-breaker" for you when choosing a candidate?  Have you decided who you're voting for?

I feel compelled to put my "two cents" in. Let's get back on track FAST and with an experienced leader. The Clinton dynasty would be the best for our current affairs. Please read up on the truth and you will find the anwer is clear - go with experience and influence and connections.

Hillary said it today "what part of the '90s did you like - The peace or the prosperity." Let's help her get us back on track. She has a plan that can be implemented. Her opponent is "flashing" but doesn't have the substance or experience it takes. Vote Hillary.

I know that I will not vote for Clinton. Her husband destroyed this country and he is right behind her. I am not saying that Obama is a better choice. No one will be able to bring the troops home in a year. We will always be in Iraq. Ask anyone who is military. Our main concern needs to be about our country and the price of gas and what is going to be done now about it not ten years from now.

Go Obama and Clinton!!! I wish they would tag team! Why not?

OUR LOCAL AND STATE SYSTEMS ARE FUELED BY THE FED GOVT. AS LITTLE OR AS BIG AS OUR STATES ARE WE ALL NEED TO VOTE B/C THIS YEAR I FEEL IT WILL MATTER MORE THAN EVER. CLINTON IS A GOOD WOMAN, A TEACHER AND CARES FOR HER COUNTRY OBVIOUSLY. WE LUCKILY STILL HAVE A CHOICE LETS VERBALIZE IT IN 2008. IF ALL TAXPAYERS STICK TOGETHER AND OUTWEIGH THE NON TAXPAYERS DECISIONS IS OUR ONLY CHOICE. ANY HELP WE CAN GET WILL BE GOOD BUT WE HAVE TO STICK TOGETHER AND I HOPE THE TAXPAYERS WIN THE 2008 ELECTIONS THIS YEAR.

I am very scared of the obamanation that is going on in this country. I followed the SC primary and being the first southern state I was curious to see if the Wife of the "first black president" or if the multiracial candidate would win. I found it real interesting that the 90% of the black voters voted for Obama and about half the white voters voted for him as well and it seemed to me that if anybody is voting along racial lines it appears to be the black population. Don't get me wrong if Colin Powell was running he would have mine. Obama is a mystery man and it seems everyone is just plain infatuated with him and not what he stands for. To me it seems that some are voting for the cover of the book and not what is inside of the book. You might need to check out the book series "Left Behind". There is a leader in it that everyone just think is wonderful but turns out to be very deceptive and the False Prophet. That's why its getting scary. Think about it.

I would vote for Clinton before Obama. You need someone with history behind them: good and back. Obama just cam out all of a sudden! Also he said he would bring troops home the 1st year. Does this tell you something about him?

Here we go again, elections a year away and no one to vote into office. I do not trust Obama or Clinton to make wise decisions. McCain is the only republican I would vote for. Surely we should have better choices. I would like to see us be able to vote in all states at the same time to choose who will run, not one state at the time.

I was quite surprised to see Edwards drop out of the race the other day. It was sad to see him drop out, because I personally think that he was slightly better then Clinton or Obama, but that is just my personal opinion, and I sadly do not know much about the other candidates.

I FEEL THAT A STRONG LEADER POSSESS THE SKILLS NECESSARY TO MEND THE WOUNDS OF AN ALREADY DIVIDED NATION. HOWEVER, WE NEED A STRONG LEADER THAT WILL DEFEND OUR FREEDOM NO MATTER WHAT.

I would like to tell Jims in El Paso that I doubt he would pay less tax here. I relocated back to NC and may not be willing or able to pay taxes every yr on my care and all the other tax here. There is clearly too much waste here in NC. I would suggest making it mandatory, that if you are able to work and sincerely try to work, that if you don't work, you don't eat.

Posted by: VLOWE Why doesnt Obama pledge allegience to the flag? Will our military still have to salute it I truly hope so.. Also why is he against wearing the US flag emblem on his lapel?? He is running for President of our American Country why is he so against it??????????????????

I am very disapointed that Oprah Winfrey would go to the extreme to use her authority as a celebrity to persuade voters to vote for Barack Obama for president. First, I look at this as a pour lack of judgement on her part and secondly, it looks as though Mr. Obama is not capable of running his own fair campaign like the other candidates. Personally, I am/was rooting for Mr. Obama but I am beginning to rethink my choice for the perfect candidate. Personally, I think Oprah needs to sit down and shut up and stop trying to encourage citizens to vote for Mr. Obama. I feel he should get his votes strictly on merit and not by encouragement from the rich and famous. It's defeating the purpose of choosing a candidate we feel would best suit the position as president. Oprah has no intentions of standing behind any other of the candidates. It seriously looks as though the only reason she stands behind Obama is because of the color of his skin.

Mike Huckabee could be a possibility. The man seems genuine and down to earth. Emigration is a big concern, since I do live in a border city. Taxes, every entity in this city is taxing the homeowner to death. Could I live in Eastern Carolina cheaper than in West Texas??? Somebody talk to me!

Posted by: James I have decided that I am going to vote for Mike Huckabee. He is the only candidate that is touting "The Fair Tax Plan".That plan would allow every American to keep every penny that they earn. If you earn $50,000.00 a year, you bring home $50,000.00 a year.It eliminates the I.R.S.It is a fair tax for everyone. You pay an embedded 23% tax whenever you made a purchase. I like that idea. We have too many taxes already.Another reason for voting for Mike is he is a good Christian Conservative.Mike and Rudy would make a great Republican ticket.
